Swedish Massage:

Swedish massage is the foundation upon which many bodywork techniques are based. Flowing strokes help to balance and revitalize the musculo-skeletal, circulatory, and lymphatic systems.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Deep tissue massage is used to loosen specific areas of tension. I may apply static pressure or slowly and firmly separate the knotted muscle fibers to dissolve tension and allow for increased circulation, oxygenation, and relaxation.

Trigger Point Therapy:

Also referred to as Neuro-muscular Therapy, this is the application of alternating levels of pressure to areas of muscle spasm. I use fingertips, knuckles, and elbows to apply pressure to these sensitive and sore areas. Usually the technique is uncomfortable, and deep, controlled breathing is essential. After the treatment, the trigger points, or spasmodic areas, should release their lactic acid and begin to absorb oxygen, and the soreness should disappear.

Russian Sports Massage:

Russian massage integrates sport massage with the relaxing techniques of therapeutic massage. It offers a number of benefits because the style of the treatment depends on the physical makeup of an injury, rather than the person’s body as a whole.

Reflexology:

Specific reflexology techniques cause relaxation. Relaxation is the first step in interrupting and breaking the stress cycle. The body is assisted in ridding itself of toxins. Increased circulation supplies nutrients and oxygen to the cells. This improved condition helps the body to return to a state of balance or homeostasis. The result is improved body function.

Cranio Sacral Therapy:

A gentle, hands-on, whole-body method of releasing restrictions around the brain and spinal cord to enhance central nervous system performance using 5 grams of pressure to allow the body to self correct.

Medical Massage Therapy:

Medical Massage is result oriented and the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions that have been diagnosed by a Physician. The therapist may use a variety of modalities or procedures during the treatment, but will focus the Medical Massage treatment only on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis and prescription. The therapist will perform a thorough assessment/evaluation with the client prior to beginning treatment.
